Steam Deck OPT and more.

Hi
So i do play the game mostly on my PC and Xbox, how ever i do play quite often on my steam deck to. I already noticed some improvements in the performance but a little bit more optimization is needed. Also what's the most important request when it comes to steam deck is Offline mode. Can we expect in the future to get added offline mode? I know steam deck is not an priority now, this post doesn't imply that the mentioned improvements need to happen now. Its more a question for future improvements after things normalize for all. Last edited by Synnys#1827 on Dec 12, 2024, 1:38:06 AM Last bumped on Apr 9, 2025, 11:35:46 AM

Offline Mode most likely will never happen but I also do enjoy a bit of PoE on my ROG Ally and would like a Steam Deck mode for video settings to just squeeze every inch out of it possible. Having FSR and DLSS is a great start but it would be a great addition in a year or two.

I've not been able to tune the settings on my Deck to make the performance satisfactory. It's dropping below 40 fps in combat and due to upscaling (regardless of which one I use) looks grainy or blurry or both. Can you share what settings you use to make it a sufferable experience?
It's a big shame because this such a perfect couch game. I hope improvements keep coming. But offline is not happening almost surely. This is not D2 where it was basically a p2p with each client having an authoritative backend. Because PoE was designed with the "secure online economy" in mind, bundling the server to the clientside to satisfy offline SSF play, I just don't see happening. Ascend with precision.

" I have found some pretty good settings to achieve a (mid-stability) ~30fps give or take 4fps even in endgame with blasting explosions with explosive shot or herald of blood increased AoE pops. That being said, I would LOVE to see the beauty of this game on my steam deck really shine, if a performance pass for the steam deck were released I would be overjoyed. My expectatiom would be to be able to achieve at least 45fps at 1200x800 resolution (an already seriously low resolution) without downscaling to 77% with NIS or blurring the game to the point that projectiles disappear with XeSS or FSR. I don't think the Deck supports DLSS unfortunately, but even then AI upscaling is a band-aid fix for poor optimization in my opinion. |

" Next time I am on my Deck I will send some settings that give a fair balance of visual quality and a "relatively stable" console FPS (~30 +/- 4fps) even in endgame. Remind me by replying to this if you don't see it by tomorrow night.
