What's wrong with " Cast On Freeze " gem ?

Just yesterday the "Cast on Freeze" were working flawless and it active the Cold Snap skill immediately when the target get Freeze. After today patch, the gem CoF not working anymore. Anyone having problem with "Cast on.." skill gem ?

the skill didn't work for me before the patch. it always says i dont have enough spirit when i clearly do. never had a chance to use it

The skill itself need "60" spirit to be active. So maybe u dont have 60 Spirit to run the skill. You get 60 spirit after doing quest !

todays update changed cast on X interactions. You should have a buff icon that builds up.

Read the patchnotes :D

The Cast on skills were changed.
Monsters now have a power value and you gain more spirit the higher the power value is.

Basically:
Normal - the lowest
Rare - A bit higher
Unique/Boss - Much higher

This means that when you fight lots of normal mobs only on some cast on freeze will trigger because you do not generate enough energy for it to cast on every enemy.
But when you fight bosses it now should cast much more often than before.

Regardless of the energy patch and assuming you do trigger cold snap - cold snap triggers before the freeze is applied on a single target. Which means the cold snap does nothing. It works fine if you have a spell echo on it, due to the delay before the echo casts.

This is besides the commonly reported freeze buildup immunity after this combo is used.
