Problem with Boss in Molten Vault

I killed the boss in Molten Vault recently, i think he is called mektul the forgemaster, and after i killed him i died too. The quest item drops after the kill in the channel where you fight him, but after the respawn its not possible anymore to get down there. So i could see the quest item but couldnt loot it.
Maybe in this special case make the quest item drop near the checkpoint or let us go down there.


Something other, an essence spawned down in the channel where the boss is, maybe thats not intended.

Just happened to me. Quest item not reachable. lift disabled.

Y'all will need to do the boss again if you died in such a way as to cause this, at least at present.

If you need to load a fresh instance and fight the boss again, Ctrl + Click on the entrance when entering and it should offer you a fresh instance with an alive boss.

I thought Blink could work and it does.
Not helpful for Act 3, but Blink does bridge the gap.
Otherwise, yes, restarting is the answer.
At least its not Drowned City. ek.
