King of the mists cruel bugged, unable to complete / gain reward.

My character OnlyPhans finished the quest king of the mists, unfortunately as I killed the king I also died at the same time this caused the quest item to bug out the quest completed but I was unable to acquire the skull that grants another 30 spirit off the 2nd run through.

I've went back and recleared the encounter but cannot get the item to drop again just leaving me losing 30 spirit.


Can someone help me here?

As far as I know there are no spirit drops in cruel. If you look at the boss icon on the map it doesn't show it dropping anything in cruel, while it does show something in normal difficulty.

Gotcha, thank you, I was unsure since so many places say all the bonuses are claimable again on second run through and since I died I assumed that was the reason.
