Atlas passive skill trees should reveal piecemeal as the player plays through each piece of content
|
Hello, loving the game so far
One small gripe i had was that as i got into end game, the pinnacle boss was shrouded in mystery based on all of the early access teasers, and it felt like a little bit of a spoiler when from the beginning of end game, i was able to see the passive skill tree for the pinnacle fight, and that its name is "The Arbiter" One thing i think that could improve the endgame experience is by initially hiding all of the atlas skill trees except for the middle one. On the atlas map, endgame mechanics would initially show up as a ? Then players would go to those maps and discover new mechanics one by one, including the pinnacle fight, and as they completed those mechanics, their passive tree would be unveiled. I think a change like this could help end game feel like it has more depth, while being extremely light to implement. Last bumped on Dec 11, 2024, 2:35:10 PM

Note that this should only happen once per account. So if you leveled a 2nd character, you shouldn't have to rediscover all of the atlas passives.

That's actually a decent idea, I second that.
I also would say we need to have easier access to the individual content atlas points as well. I've not looked at all the trees, but just the map boss one you start getting points into at T13 maps (or something like that, relatively high level area)? |
