[PoE2] Tinker's Tools - Display as gathered but aren't in my inventory

Hello,

I was aware that enemies are not dropping the Tinker's tools item properly from Mawdan Quarry - Act 2 - PoE but I had heard that chests were still succesfully dropping the item. I have been grinding the map for the last few hours and in this time I have noticed the Tinker's Tools drop icon has greyed out but I do not have the item. This makes me concerned I won't have any way to gather these tools again on my account.
