Cannot finish "Rescue Alva from Doryani"

I fought Doryani before bed, started down the path to "Rescue Alva from Doryani", decided I'll come back to finish this quest. now when I login there is no way to proceed with the quest. the path is gone, there are no NPC's to interact with.

I'm basically stuck and need to re roll my character at this point. is there any solution to this issue?

You actually have to find a big staircase that leads to Aggorat. Once you enter Aggorat the quest will update to "Fight through Aggorat and find the black chambers". Took me forever to find it but it is in the zone right after you defeat viper napuatzi. Just explore that area fully until you find the door to Aggorat.

I'm stuck on this myself. Found the staircase, but it doesn't open.



Edit. Nevermind, wrong staircase! Happened to be in the one single corner on the whole map that hadn't been cleared (but looked like it had).
