Technical information - streamline stutter
My Specs:
Win 10 RTX 4090 Nvidia driver 566.36 m.2 SSD 4k - HDR (Samsung Neo G7) poe2 EA with Game Launcher Ingame Setting: I test all setting variations from low to high with dlss (all variations) and without. Vulkan and DX12. 60fps and 120 fps. HDR on and off. G-Sync on/off, Vsync on/off. Different servers testet too with 23-48 ms servers. The stutter is always the same. In alot of situations at playtrought the story few times i get random micro stutter. At a test for this pic. I´m at Act 3 - The Matlan Waterways. If for example at this spot i turn around (go a little left and right again) i get this stutter ervery time at the same spot. You see my orange frame time meeter and the GGG Meeter too on the screen. If i stands still all the stutter are gone. If i go a little upsite, all the stutter a gone. In this scene are no more monsters. The place is empty. Looks like there is some problem with strimeline something. This stutters are around the game in alot of scenarios. Maybe this helps to opti the Game. :) GL ![]() Last edited by GrafVanRotz#5151 on Dec 11, 2024, 7:45:12 AM Last bumped on Jan 12, 2025, 5:19:02 AM

I have this exact same issue, it's only on Matlan Waterways for me so far.

The root cause of the micro-stutter on my PC was MSI's Afterburner software (which is used to monitor your GPU's performance). The fix is to disable the Power monitoring in MSI Afterburner.
See this Reddit thread for further details: https://www.reddit.com/r/pathofexile/comments/z3xf5r/msi_afterburner_can_cause_stuttering_in_poe_and/ I also managed to boost my FPS by hiding a lot of the item drops using a loot filter (sorry console players...I know you're stuck on this one). |
