The cost of resetting Passive Skill Points is unaffordable

If you want to do a major reset of Passive Skill Points once, it's basically equivalent to going bankrupt. Moreover, there's also the risk that the new build might not be as good as the old one but you don't have enough gold to reset it back. That means players are discouraged from trying out new strategies and can only copy others' builds. Then what's the point of designing such a huge Passive Skill tree? Anyway, gold can't be traded, and dropping more gold won't have an impact on the in-game economy. So what's the meaning of making people afraid to reset their Passive Skill Points? The main point is to emphasis that we want more gold or less cost to reset the passive skill points more frequently to try more builds. Will there be any plan on this? Yes very expensive.

You generally shouldn't be doing full resets during the campaign, but moving points around here and there (for example for stats) is completely affordable.
They've already lowered the cost of refunds, and it was perfectly reasonable BEFORE they lowered it. If you're having a problem with gold, try picking up items and selling them. The more affixes the more they sell for, so rare is better than magic. Don't gamble as much. |

During campaign you mostly just want to tweak things about here and there. If you're not certain about something, then dedicate your weapon slot points towards it, those are cheaper to respec if it doesn't work out (and you can just use the other weapon set with a different method to experiment until then).
End game though respeccing is a joke. It costs something like 250-300k gold to fully respec your character, but there's nothing to spend gold on besides respeccing in the end game. I'm sitting on 3 million gold now because it keeps getting thrown at me, so you can fully reset your characters multiple times in the end game if you want to try something out. |
