Crossbow First Impressions

Just started playing. Am now level 11 mercenary. Have been using a crossbow, very poorly. And I have a suggestion because I just realized something that has been hindering me. The skill description in the Skills window does not match the skill description in the Skillbar. Let me explain.
Here are correct ones:
Skill Description is Permafrost Bolts and Skillbar Description is Load Permafrost Bolts.
Skill Description is Fragmentation Rounds and Skillbar Description is Load Fragmentation Rounds.
Under this pattern it SHOULD follow that:
Skill Description is Basic Bolts and Skillbar Description is Load Basic Bolts.
There is a skill you can equip "Crossbow Shot" which is generic, and should shoot whatever type of round that is loaded. And there is. But this should be a SKILLBAR ONLY option, it is not really a skill per se. It's like "Detonate Mines" in PoE1, which you get by virtue of having a mine skill. But if you look in the Skills panel there is a skill "Crossbow Shot". This makes no sense. What this should really be called is "Basic Bolt" because, following the pattern above, that is what it is. Please fix this confusion.

yes this confused me at first. dragging crossbow shot to your bar will shoot whatever ammo is loaded but the support gems socketed to the skill "crossbow shot" only affect the basic bolt ammo as well so figuring out the new game mechanics and having this description felt weird

You are incorrect about that skill in your skill panel. It is the default ammo type, and it is a skill just like any other skill added by a weapon. You can put 2 support gems in it and load that ammo type. The main benefit being that it costs no mana to load it.

I believe what they're saying is when you equip a crossbow you're given "basic bolt" and "crossbow shot". if you use crossbow shot on your action bar it will shoot whatever ammo is loaded (i.e. permafrost shot, explosive shot, basic bolt) but in the skill panel if you put support gems under crossbow shot it only affects basic bolt ammo so why isn't it called basic bolt in both the skill page and action bar like the rest of the skills
