Difficult to cancel rolling slam with WASD movement
When using mouse movement, you can easily cancel rolling slam before it starts up the second swing by clicking to move but on WASD it's unreliable to cancel it by moving, only working about half the time. This makes it way harder to use on WASD because I'm often forced to commit to the full thing even if it's not safe to.

Cancel it by dodge rolling at any point. Cancelling by moving sounds like a bug I'll be honest but I have only played WASD so far.

Iv spent most of the day testing the diffrences between WASD and mouse click , and iv noticed this alot with diffrent skills .
Depends on the skill but sometimes the feel of the same skill drasticly changes depending on the control schem your using , way more than i though it would . Just a sec let me grab a beer...@#*@ Ok how did I die this time
Learn the rules, it's the only way to exploit them. |

" You're right, you can cancel it by dodge rolling but that usually wastes a good chunk of time. Often I cancel it if the first hit primes something for stun so I can use boneshatter right after and needing to dodge adds an extra second to the entire combo and feels way worse. |

I've been quite frustrated with this aswell, with mouse controls its a simple left click to cancel, but with WASD I quite often cancel my attack on accident as the cancel input seems to be to input the opposite direction if the direction you were holding when you started the attack. It would be nice if we instead could have a dedicated cancel key-bind as is common in other rpgs and MOBAs. And then disable the WASD cancel stuff which tends to just feel buggy if you don't know what is happening.
A workaround for know could be a macro that presses WASD quickly in sequence but I think that might be against the rules? My method for attack cancelling at the moment is to make sure I am either holding A or D when I start my first attack then I do attack, A, attack, D, repeat... Its very useful for stunning enemies with rolling slam. Repeat the first attack until it stuns and then let it continue to the second attack for the bonus damage against heavy stunned enemies. |
