Unable to progress story - unable to load Mastodon Badlands or enter Trial of the Sekhemas

Hi GGG,

I'm playing on PC and the game hard crashes when attempting to load the Trial of the Sekhemas. It occasionally loads and crashes when walking a few steps inside the Trial of the Sekhemas.

When trying to select the Mastodon Badlands the game crashes.

I am now unable to progress the story or ascend.

I have had crashes in other areas but they have seem to have been fixed when I turned off hyper threading in the BIOS. This doesn't work for the areas above.

Sadly none of have worked for me, but you might find better luck. Notice there are several suggestions (Shader cache deletion, compatibility mode, etc) so I would suggest following each one to see if you can resolve yourself because I have not seen any official response about this and it is impacting tons of people.
