Cannot reenter Portal A2: Trial of the Sekhemas

Portaled back to town, but cannot reenter Portal to return to where I was - I finished Ascendancy Trial. I did not click on the Portal at the end, I opened my own Portal because I needed to adjust inventory. I need to use the Altar still but cannot reenter the Portal to do so.

Edit:
- If you have not finished the Trial, if you use Waypoint back to Trial of the Sekhemas and click on the Trial Map it will take you back to where you were.
- I completed the Trial again and the game crashed before I could get Ascendancy again
- Having to repeat the Trial just to be able to assign the Ascendancy points I already unlocked is unnecessary. The system should still protect and allow me to assign those points regardless of technical difficulties
- Beat it again and no crash. Claimed Ascendancy immediately to try to evade crash: it wouldn't let me redeem any of the keys because the "quest rewards had been claimed"

Same thing happened to me. Awful bug, and even more awful if it's intentional.

Happened to be the exact same way. Defeat boss. Portal out before ascending. Try to portal back from town, portal is non interactable. Use waypoint to get back to the beginning of trial, no option was given to "continue" the trial only to start a new trial. I did not try to quit and come back to see if anything would get fixed. Had to waste my time on the trials again. Also I had 2 of those seals to start the trial. After this bug, I re did the trial but was missing the second seal that would allow me to do another trial again.
