How to upgrade weapon support gem slot.

I use a staff with Living Bomb but i can only have 2 support gems on it... I tried to upgrade it with a lesser jeweller's orb but it's not possible... So is it really like that??? Our weapon skills can only get 2 support gems???

I'm really confused and i can't find any information about the weapon skills anywhere...
