Area of Effect Calculation

My Level 8 Coldsnap shows 0.7 meters base aoe range
After modifying it with Magnified Effect (40% More AOE) the Spell shows 0.8 meters aoe range. Even when I calculate 0.65 instead of 0.7 it should be 0.9 and not 0.8 - something is very off there. Last bumped on Dec 10, 2024, 9:27:37 PM

Confirmed for me as well. I tried the Magnified Effect gem on several skills, all of their advanced info showed an increase in radius but it was closer to ~20% increase not the 40% referenced in the gem's tooltip.
If this is intended, it's far too low of an increase to notice and is therefore a mostly useless gem at the moment. |

Pi=3.141593 R=0.7 A=1.53938 A*1.4=2.155133 SQRT(2.155133/3.141593)=0.828251 Increasing the radius is not the same as increasing the area. |
