[POE2] Crashing to desktop when loading a particular character

When I try to load into the game on my monk it instantly crashes.
I am playing on a steam deck and have had no issues with it so far until this. My character is a monk and they are currently in the hunting grounds. When I select them I go through the loading screen and then crash to desktop. I am able to create other characters and to load other characters that I have previously created. I have tried changing all sorts of settings and moving my cosmetics to other characters to see if those were the cause but nothing I have tried has had any effect. Update: also verified game files and restarted my device, no effect
