Act 2 is terrible
Most of the act is pretty bad gimmicky tight hallways with enemies that surround u and just lock you up. But the wagon quest at the end might be the worst designed level I've played in any game. Half of the mechanics of the game don't work because of enemies in the way you can't move and there's no check points so when u do get locked up u have to spend 15 minutes again slowly killing each enemy 1 at a time. I'm playing monk maybe it's not as bad for other classes but this is atrocious

It's no better on sorceress or ranger. Act 1 was great, and the visual and auditory experience in Act 2 was great, but it's a very long time spent whittling down tough enemies and some of them are a serious defence check (my sorceress was getting massacred, ranger had better gear).
I didn't find it difficult, barring the final boss, just very grindy. Having finally killed the Act 2 boss I was drained of enthusiasm to progress Act 3. So have ended up restarting with a new class, which will be great until I get back to Act 2 ;) |

I very much enjoyed act 2 and appreciate it that the game demands attention. I havent seen a better designed storyline in any other game so far. The bosses and maps are awesome.

" +1 Bro I got to the end of the Dreadnaught in A2 and died from getting stuck by surrounded mobs. It sends me all the way back to the waypoint at the beginning and some of the mobs respawned lol.. I ran it back, cleared everything, just to realize you got to go through the Dreadnaught vanguard and do the same thing again lol... Then of course when I get to the boss, I invited a friend, and we went in! He kept dying and there was absolutely no chance I could revive him in that arena. Half the time I couldn't even click his revive hourglass and when It finally starts ticking, I get bombarded with attacks and tornados. It felt so bad. The boss is significantly harder when you party up, it's not worth it because if you're teammate dies the boss's difficulty stays the same meanwhile you have zero opportunity to revive them. |

for me, act2 is an absolute mess and it wasn't an enjoyable experience. it will be one of those things that is just a chore that i have to complete on every future character. and i'm not talking about its difficulty, etc. just the design itself

Its not just A2 it seems so many maps are worse narrow pathways than FFX. Even the outdoor maps are hard to read.
