PC shutting down during Balbala fight (softcore)

Hi guys,

I have experienced PC completely shutting down (like if you press off button on a power supply) during the Balbala fight right when poison starts to spread. It happened twice. Solution was to switch from DX12 to Vulcan and I was able to complete the fight.

My PC:
ASUS TUF GAMING B550-PLUS
AMD Ryzen 7 5700X
Corsair DDR4 CMK32GX4M2D3600C16 2x16 GB
Sapphire AMD Radeon RX 7600

I think it may be 2 options:
1) Specific models of Seasonic PSU such as Gold Pluse series may shut down on high peak power consumption to prevent self harm
2) CPU overheat.

I am 5600x user, solved issue with watercooling.

Yeah, I have Seasonic Gold Plus power supply, so it may be this! It definitely was not problem with overheating. Interesting thing is that switching from DX12 to Vulcan helped. It may imply that Vulcan is more efficient in regard with power consumption because after switching everything was fine.

Having that same issue right now, thought it was a heating issue went and got a new better cooler. Turns out its not that.

PSU Corsair HS850
Corsair Dominator 3600MHz
AMD RX 7600
not sure what Motherboard is without taking my pc apart.

then there is the VERY HIGH power usage on the path of exile, my friend blew up his psu lastnight.

Seams Amd RX7600 / RX7600xt Users are affected.

Update:
Grafik Settings - switch to Vulkan instead of directx 12 works as workaround.

Thanks for this article I was going crazy since last night, my Alienware laptop shuts down every time before I kill her. I was reinstalling drivers, etc. not overheating at all. Running 7600 XT on laptop. Hopefully switching to Vulcan will fix it for me too.

Update: It worked. Change to Vulcan is the way.
