Act 3 gateway bug

After finishing act 3 I wanted to finish my side quest and as I walk into a gateway its always teleports me into a Riverbank even though I already killed a Miller and open waypoint after him. From riverbank I cant use portal or do anything else and need to kill him again and again if I want to use a gateway in act 3.

It doesn't appear to let you go back to "modern" act 3 at all after you kill

You can switch between the time periods in Act 3 by going through the time portal, regardless of which time period you are current in (it affects the waypoint world map).

However, I experienced the same problem that OP did where if you go through the time portal, regardless of which side, to change the Act 3 time period.... it teleports you to Cruel Act 1 Riverbank regardless of whether you have previously cleared it. You are not allowed to hit the teleport to town button, and relogging through character selection still puts you back in Riverbank.

The workaround is to hit the blue tp button on a party member, but if you are alone you have to just clear it again, very frustrating. I ended up clearing it 4 times yesterday because after getting to Cruel, I was going back to collect passives I missed and also try the 2nd ascendency trial that I skipped over because it's very difficult.

Same problem here. I keep getting ported to Cruel Act 1, instead of being able to go back to town to do the second ascendancy trial too.
