Cast on Freeze not working

I was using cast on freeze for a few zones before messing around with it a bit, after which it is no longer possible to use. It says "disabled: not enough spirit" even though I have enough spirit.

I can also actually use another 60 spirit spell:


Unfortunately it also seems like Elemental Invocation is broken for me. I can reserve the spirit, but I can never activate the spells socketed.

I have tried disabling my 40 spirit spell (a herald of ice with precision), but this does not make any difference.

As I mentioned in the start, it did work for a short while, so I don't know if the issue is with my character.

i got the same problem....cant use cast on freeze....

Also having this problem, 60/60 spirit and passive wont work.

Same issue thanks for adding all the images. I also added the spirit scepter to my build and got rid of all my + to spell gems and tried to run this with 174 spirit with nothing else reserved and it did not work. I lowered my spell gem down to a +11 comet so it would be at its lowest possible level and it still did not working. I know the skill works Subtractem was using i even scoured his vods trying to figure out he did the setup, but it looks like it was done off stream.

It now also broke again on a second character, but for Cast on Ignite. This time after I died. Using fabi's trick unfortunately does not work for me, as anything I do seems to just leave the gem in an unusable.

I am, however, able to use blasphemy instead just like on my other character. So it does not consider my spirit to be lower, but rather that there is something with the meta gems.

ALSO.

Cast on freeze fails to trigger on freeze all the time. It is really really frustrating. And no, it is not due to lack of mana, im constantly at full mana, and trigger wont happen on mob freeze.

Edit: User error -> this was trigger skill energy issue. Working as intended. Apologies.

The error message is wrong, you need to socket a skill gem into cast on freeze for it to work.
