Monk > Ice Strike > Any chill/freeze build up?
Any monks out there testing Ice Strike see any chill build up? I haven't frozen a single mob yet with this ability. Am I missing something?
I have it socketed with Martial Tempo and Overpower. I'm level 24ish at this point. Last bumped on Dec 22, 2024, 8:09:42 PM

Definitely not the best chill/freeze skill on monk, but yes it should stack chill.

You can/need to support this via skilltree "freeze buildup" nodes. There are several on monks side of the tree. Essence of the Mountain is the closest one, Shattering is an option and One with the River seems good but it is pretty far on the right side.
Also you could use Icebite Support for the skill. Essence of the Mountain and Icebite was enough to build up freeze so you can feel it. For Bosses it should be more. Last edited by falsecode101#0582 on Dec 8, 2024, 9:57:12 AM

" Ice strike is insaly strong for freezin so I would say problem is most likely your support gem overpower, low dmg weapon and lack of freeze nodes from three. Instead of overpower you should try to just increase your dmg with something else Close combat, crescendo and primal armament are really nice for that skill Last edited by LaNSa#2186 on Dec 22, 2024, 5:19:38 PM

Make sure the quarterstaff you are using has physical damage and not the lightning staff.
