Paquate's Mechanism not working?

Explored the entire tileset and can't find anyway to open this door. I'm assuming that I need to insert a small soul core into this nearby altar.

In case it's not clear, the altar in the image was not interactable for me.

I can confirm. Found the core, found the treasure room, no way to open it.

I opened the room, by putting soul core to the altar, but I don't think this is the paquate mechanism. I found another thing in jiquani's sanctum, but I couldn't open.

You should powerup two generators and the altar of corruption will be up.
It's in the middle, behind the boss.

paquantes mechanism is the corruption alter you just find it on the map, it doesn't take a soul core or anything but its in the 2nd part where you find the medium soul cores to turn on the generators to activate the boss for the large soul core

i don't know if this was intended, you can drag that movable tri-angle on an item in your inventory and it would corrupted + give a socket (meaning lock out of upgrade), and nothing happen nor reward after you have done it

thats what the alter is intended to do, you drag the triangle onto a piece of gear and it corrupts it unpredictably, meaning anything can happen to it. your case it gave it a socket, my case it turned a yellow item back to magic, it could turn a white into a unique
