The difficulty difference between Trial of Chaos and Trial of the Shekhemas is LAUGHABLE. It's like GGG listened to all the people that said they hated sanctum and would rather do ultimatum for their ascensions, and they were like "Hmm, we can't have that. Let's buff everything in ultimatum to the moon, while making sanctum 0iq-proof."
NERF ULTIMATUM. EDIT: I finally got my 3rd and 4rth ascendancy points after going through the rest of act 3, finishing it, over-leveling to 49, A WHOLE 11 LEVELS ABOVE THE ZONE, and I was LUCKY to get a favorable set of modifiers, AND I WAS LUCKY to get the easiest boss for my build which was the chicken. Absouletly, this shit makes other bosses and content look tame.
One cannot help but wonder how such a lust for loot can affect a persons mind. Although these exiles appear to be our salvation, it would not take much for them to turn on us as easily as they fight gods and demons.

If you can kill the chimera to get to the ultimatum idk how you struggled with the ultimatum trial unless you got unlucky with mods

Give it a few days, most people will get to ultimatum trial and see just how insanely overtuned it is.
Hordes of enemies running at you and stunlocking you,random endboss instead of it always being the same boss so if you get to round 4 twice no guarantee you'll know what you're fighting. And the most fun part: the random ultimatum mods that you have to pick and sometimes it completely bricks your run. For example "enemies always crit" and "enemies always apply poison and bleed" will scale the enemy's dps so hard that you'll get deleted instantly from big hits or even lots of small hits since poison stacks. Could you imagine having to get the coin for the trial every time you die btw? Because that's how it was until they made the last-minute change to allow you to infinitely retry with the quest coin. |

I'm lvl 46 and getting destroyed doing this, 1 shot by boss in half a second, chased until death from impossibly difficult modifiers. I've had zero enjoyment trying to get points so....I give up.
Difficulty should be tuned to be a challenge but not feel impossible and a waste of time. Maybe I'm too low level I don't know but this current state of Trial of Chaos is not fun and not worth doing on my Warrior. |

i feel the mods are too strong actually, imagine in endgame for finish the whole thing you need to cross 12 room with 12 mods.... insane, in poe the modifier get harder as you add more of the same, they make the challenge tight but not to the point to be stupid.
a few modifier that are crazy: - monster always crit - don't get charge on monster kill for the flask and charm - buff stay 2 times less and debuff 3 time more! and some other i haven't even try because they look insane. the modifier need to be less powerfull and need to ramp up like in poe, more than have a modifier that simply screw you all over. |
