Permanently losing passive points when refunding / respeccing
|
I just respecced a bunch of passive points at the hooded one. I checked my passive tree right after and I had some random points allocated that were not even connected to anything. I tried to fix it by refunding those again but then a bunch of the refunded passive points were taken away. Now it shows I have 0 passive points and wont let me allocate any of them. The tree is even highlighting some nodes as if I could allocate them but it shows 0 points in the top right.
TLDR; Don't use hooded one to respec, he steals gold and passive points and breaks characters. Character name: Cookiee Last bumped on Dec 11, 2024, 2:01:34 AM

Same. Bricked my character. I'm able to reset passive points and save it, but if I zone or log it rolls back to prior tree setting and point total. Meaning I burn gold on the reset just to have the tree reset and if I level and add a point it will be lost to the roll back.
Respecting can certainly brick a character from progressing. Last edited by MrHoffmannia#3285 on Dec 10, 2024, 2:14:21 AM

yeah its really really bad. sorry that happened to you too.
To avoid this bug you should never allocate points using the hooded one's respec interface. ONLY refund a single point and apply changes. Keep doing that until you have all of the points you want to spend, then use the normal passive skill tree UI to allocate your refunded points. |
