Unable to use quest items in POE 2

Hello,

I currently have 2 book of specialisations and 1 gembloom skull from questing in my inventory, but when I go to use them I cant and I get an error in chat that says "The operation could not be completed"

Pls help, they starting to take up alot of bag space xD

UPDATE: I have no idea what happened, but they just randomly started working

Couldnt use them in town, tried using them outside of a town and they worked.
