PoE2 after 18 levels on Witch

Since it is a feedback forum, here's my feed back.

Lets just omit the first day, it was what it was...

I started as a Witch and got to lvl 18. I am at the Manor at the moment.

Here's a handful of observations.

1. Why do I need to choose a unique name for my character? Can't we just use User ID or something and let players name the characters what they want? It's not WoW.

2. I enjoyed the maps and the little bosses but after first couple of regions I started to get annoyed. All the encounters are exactly the same. Roll, roll, roll, hit. Roll, roll, roll, hit... ad nauseam.
Encounters with random pack of mobs or rare mobs are more fun than bosses, at least something unexpected is happening.

3. Loot. Witch was fun for about 5-6 levels after that the fun factor started to diminish as all the "good" loot (yellow and orange items) that dropped from bosses and encounters started to be tailored for Warriors and Rangers. 80% of loot are bows, crossbows, shields, hammers, loot somehow dependent on Dexterity or Strength be it requirements to use or stats boosted by the item.
I'm lvl18 and I still have the same weapon I got at lvl 5 that I had to BUY from the vendor cause most of the stuff that drops is not for my class. The remaining 20% of loot is just unusable crap and vendor trash. Upgrading isn't worth the effort cause everything is random so you can easily waste your mats or just straight break the item you just got.

4. Difficulty is fine. The only boss I have problems with so far is Count Geonor.
Not because the encounter is hard, it isn't, it's the same boring roll. roll, roll, hit pattern. It's the lack of decent equipment to support my class and build that is an issue. Please see the point above.

5. Controls. I play with keyboard and mouse with mouse movement setup and controls feel clunky at best. Movement feels floaty and laggy. I can understand that skills have cast times and preparations but it is ARPG game not some Souls-like crap. PoE1 has nice and responsive combat and movement, here it feels like we are stuck in the mud all the time.
It took me a while to find the option in settings to actually force my character stop when I press stop to attack key. Why by default movement is set to "glide in random direction"? It's just unintuitive.

Will I play the game? Well... I paid for it so I probably will.
Most likely I will start another character now, Warrior or a Ranger and hope that finally I will get some decent gear for my Witch cause I bet I'll be getting all Intellect dependant loot.

Am I enjoying the game? No, not really. It's a 7/10 game at the moment and need a lot of balancing and work to be good.

Thank You.
R.

These are my biggest gripes. Far too much rolling across the board for every major encounter. If I wanted to dodge roll all day, I'd be playing the Shadow of the Erdtree dlc.

The default movement gliding in whatever direction needs to be an actual menu toggle, not a button you have to push every time. Whoever thought this was a good idea is insane.

And every attack feels super floaty, as in I hit the button and it's almost as if my character has to think about it first.

If the game goes live the way it is now, I won't be playing. I honestly believe that the majority of people wouldn't even get past act 1 before quitting in its current state.
General discussion gaming forums are almost always a cesspit of ignorance and trolls.
