Poe 2 load screen totally freezes pc

I have the same problem in Poe 1. It started after i had installed the Windows 24h2 update. I was fearful that it would persist to poe2 and unfortunately i was correct.

Can play the game fine for a while, but after some time it would randomly start to hard freeze the pc on load screens, to the point you can only hard reset it. Mouse cursor still moves, but supper laggy.

It seems that the game pegs the cpu to such a degree that nothing else can execute anymore. This is evident if i uncheck affinities for the last 4 logical cores in task manager. Then the total pc freeze doesn't happen, but the cpu still shows 100% usage, the game becomes unresponsive and eventually crashes, never making it past the load screen.



Playing poe2 it started freezing on the Manor rampart load screen and now i cant get past it.

"If you experience stutters in PoE2 DO this:

1) Update latest chipset drivers and BIOS for your motherboard. (be very careful with BIOS update watch guides or use help of experienced tech guys)
2) Do NOT change NVIDIA control panel settings for PoE2.
3) Do NOT disable Full screen optimization in EXE files of the game.
4) CLOSE all your browsers and their processes in your system [in my case opened Chrome cause stutters every 2-3 seconds]
5) Turn OFF NVIDIA Reflex in game options tab.

Info for devs - mostly problem located in working browsers IDK how this correlate with PoE2 performance but it is!

My system: AMD 5600X / Nvidia RTX 3070 / 32GB DDR4 RAM / 2x NVME M2 / WINDOWS 10 Pro / Steam Client"

I have the latest bios version and up to date drivers.
Nah, closing the browser and disabling reflex doesn't fix it.

I also faced this problem. The problem is only in this game.

Same here on an 7800x3d - 4070ti. Maxes out the CPU on most load screens needing a full system hard reset as I cannot tab out or close it. The whole PC crashes. Really killing my enjoyment when this has happens about 40 times since starting yesterday as it happens most times in loading screens. Especially into a new map.

long story short in 108 sides: no permanent working solution so far.
PC/game keeps still crashing

Recommendation to stop playing until fix, or play without multithread under 30fps.

Otherwise u will damange your system permanently

Способ 100% есть и проблема, всем кто играет со старта, давно известна. Способов решения на самом деле несколько или даже много, но многие из них либо ухудшают производительность игры, либо откровенно портят и всячески мылят картинку. Но в эту игру нужно играть строго на максимальных настройках в 4к и с dx12 естественно.

Единственный на сегодняшний день простой способ решить проблему без потери качества, с полным сохранением и картинки и производительности игры это запретить POE 2 использовать одно из ядер процессора и его поток (если он есть) например 0 и 8 ядро, а также выставить на процесс высокий приоритет.

Все это делается в приложении Process lasso, а равно в любом подобном приложении или через создание батника (это не для всех, там есть нюансы), в указанном приложении можно настроить автоматическое применение указанных параметров при старте игры, руками делать ничего не нужно, проблема таким костылем решается 100% процентов, не будет не вылетов и даже загрузки лок станут быстрей, но хочется верить, что GGG решит проблему и прежде всего поймет, что она имеет место быть.
