Ascendancy choice blocked by crash

1) Entered the Trial of the Sekhemas
2) Completed the first floor
3) Clicked the Altar of Ascendancy
4) Game crashed before choosing ascendancy

After logging in again, the quest is at the state "Use the Altar of Ascendancy to choose your Ascendancy", but I'm located at the relic altar at the start of the trial with no way to get back to the Altar of Ascendancy, other than entering the trial again.
