Solar Amulet + Orb of Chance = Item disappear [NOT A BUG]

As the title suggests, I used an orb of chance on a Solar amulet and they both disappeared. No items on the ground, nothing in inventory. My guess is that the orb of chance hit a rarity that is not yet in the game (unique maybe?) or is just generally bugged.

Orbs of chance behave differently in POE2. They now either destroy the item or upgrade it to unique. This sounds like intended behavior.

You are right. Once again, my POE 1 brain told me this was a bug without even reading the item.
