Different skill trees for different characters

Something like this should have no place in PoE.

Why do I get penalized for chosing non witch by having minion nodes removed from the passive.

For people who don't know what I am talking about, any non witch class gets all the minion bonuses removed from the witch starting area. Only witch gets to pick up minion bonuses in her starting area.

Let's pretend we're back in PoE. If a player starts the Shadow class, then they do not easily get the Witch's starting nodes. But they could still wrap around and grab other critical minion-related nodes. Honestly most of those starting nodes are just useful at the start... Any cross-class build really becomes relevant past perhaps level 45, after which those starting nodes usually get respec'd out of anyways.

Going back to PoE2. I think it's a simple way to present a cleaner tree. You have 12 classes with 6 starting points. I imagine they could have visually made it 12 starting points, but that would look confusing.

WIth all that being said, I'm really curious what build you have in mind that has you going Sorceress but wanting to pick those initial minion nodes.

Well a minion build.
And how do you come to a conclusion that removing 90% damage (89%) from the tree is good, because it looks cleaner. When the total ammount of minion damage on the tree is around 340%~ ballpark. Especially removing 90% damage from the densest area of minion nodes. Its removing nearly a quarter of the damage from the passive skill tree.

If you play any class but witch you also lose out on 55% life.

So why would it be good to have 89% less minion damage, 55% less minion life, and 15% slower minion res speed. Making it an objectively worse passive skill tree. I don't understand it.

There you go. This is the only difference we could find so far with my friends.

For some reason, witch is the only class that seems to have a unique starting area, and I have to think that this is 100% an oversight. No other class has different nodes, but the doubt is now there. Who else is losing out/getting more.
