Killing Palm culling icon not showing

Sometimes, on some enemies, when enemy is low enough to execute with Killing Palm, the blue orb on enemies head doesn't show up, even though when Killing Palm is used on them they are executed and you gain the Power Charge.
So far it happened with the small larvae in Mud Burrow and small werewolves in grelwood.

Can confirm this has happened to me as well.
