Account merging: Default PoE 2 character creation on old, unused account

PoE2 0.1.0 - Xbox

I have two accounts.

Account 1: Awake#1154 (main account with which all MTX were purchased)
Account 2: mischasln#3826 (old, unused account without transactions or MTX)


Yesterday I was able to create 4 characters in PoE2. Apparently they were created on account 2 by default. When selecting characters, there was no dropdown to choose which account I wanted to use.

I quickly realized that I cannot use my MTX from my main account as all characters were created on account 2 by default and MTX are not shared.

Q1: Can you merge my two accounts into account 1 so all my characters appear in account 1?

Q2: Can you delete account 2?

Q3: If I delete a character, is the name immediately available to others or is it reserved for a certain period of time?

Having the same issue for PC -> PS5. I bought Steam and PS5 copies and am unable to find a way to link the accounts

i have a buddy that has the same situation but the account that had the MTX actually lost all MTX
