Don't change game difficulty and pacing!

For me, the game is incredible in its current state. Everyone knows that problems are bound to occur—after all, it's an early access title, and nothing is perfect. If you want the speed, pacing, and difficulty of PoE 1, just go and play PoE 1. But please, don't ruin this game. PoE 2 is different in many ways, and that's a good thing. There's no need for changes; people need to think more and play games that actually challenge them, rather than relying on the brain-dead gameplay of PoE 1.

I will admit that I was hesitant at first, the very beginning (towards mid act 1 felt a touch off), but then I fell in love with the difficulty and pacing. I fully agree with this post, don't change it.

Well, perhaps make some minor tweaks to party play
For real, being able to move and fight at the same time is SUCH a huge game changer and most people don't even realize the full implications.

I wish people could actually give the game a chance, dedicate themselves like they would poe1 but not hold it to the same standard as a game that has been developed for a full decade.
It seems like people just want to rush through the campaign and jump straight into the endgame. Many of those complaining haven’t even reached Act 2 yet. As mentioned in various interviews, Cruel difficulty is easier because by then you already have some equipment and leveled-up skills. What they really want is the zoom-zoom, braindead, second-monitor experience of PoE 1. I’m not saying PoE 1 is bad—I’ve played it for a long time and enjoy the game—but PoE 2 is so much better.

Unfortunately, I’ll just play PoE 2 and enjoy the game while I can, because the nerfs to NPCs and buffs to players will surely come and ruin the experience. As always, the ones who cry the loudest make the most noise.
I think the main problem is that because of trivial games the last years people have forgot that it's OK to make a step back if they fail a boss.

If you can't beat a boss, just farm more gear....farm 1-2 more level and try again.

because of games like D4 people think that they MUST be able to beat every boss and every content first try with blue gear only and without investing into theyr char.

I've also failed some bosses.....but I farmed the last area 2-3 times, crafted some rares and tried again.

And after some small upgrades to my gear the boss was a breeze.

I played in Beta and the bosses absolutely wrecked me. I kept dying in frustration, but eventually I learned. I dodged when they paused to swing hard, listened to audio queues of when they were about to cast, and ran away at the right time during certain phases. It was frustrating.

I am now in Act 2 on the early access, and with the exception of King of the Mists, which I skipped in Beta, I felt like a god fighting everything in Act 1.

People just want everything right away without effort. I think the difficulty right now is great, and those who stick around to figure out will agree.
completely agree - I've maintained that the 'gotta go fast' and Diablo 3-ificiation of ARPG's in the last 5 years has severely skewed the calibrations of player perceptions, playstyles and skills.

We saw this correction cause issues at D4's launch (among other factors), and the Blizzard devs ended up having to choose between turning D4 more D3-like or more D2-like; and as we can see, more D3-like won out.

I don't think that's a good thing, but ultimately it does leave D4 a viable option for those whose playstyle capabilities and aptitudes are more suited to D3; POE2 going back to it's classic roots provides a catering for the classical D2 / higher difficulty segment (and this is of course harder than D2 - but we're talking relativistics here from the 6.4B dps you can pull in D3).
Absolutely agree.

Kudos to the dev team, I like that you can't just blast through everything on release. Every boss fight is actually a "boss fight" which is frigging awesome.

So far, I am loving it.
I'm in the same "boat" as everyone else. I'm playing as a monk, making combos with the elemental bell, and that thing deals a ton of damage. Of course, I've died too, but that's just part of life. If you make a mistake, learn from it and improve yourself.

I’m sure that your level and allocating points in the passive tree are really important. Even small bonuses like 5% or 10% to defense or damage can make a huge difference and help a lot if you're struggling. Also, don’t forget about your gear—make sure you’re not wearing all grey items when fighting an act boss!
