Why is MELEE still an issue?

Despite constant community input, Grinding Gear Games (GGG) has once again failed to fully solve the long-standing flaws with Path of Exile's melee combat. Players have often expressed worries about melee's viability, specifically its damage scaling and defensive abilities. Furthermore, the game's mechanics frequently favor ranged or spellcasting builds, which puts melee characters at a disadvantage, this is still the case looking at the VERY first boss in POE2. The requirement for melee players to remain stationary during hits makes them more susceptible in a game environment that aggressively penalizes immobility, not to mention the fact that boss's still for whatever reason do cleave and PBAOE around them favoring range play once again (also charges from bosses, there are plenty of them, also heavily punish melee playstyle). Despite continued discussions and suggestions, GGG's latest updates have not made significant improvements to melee gameplay. POE2 is one of the WORST ARPGs I've played as Melee, both Monk and Warrior. Fix it or remove Melee. How many iterations will you take to understand this?

It's funny, I just saw a minion player complaining that melee is too strong and minions feel weak. I'm playing monk and loving it, for the record; PoE2's melee gameplay is so much better than PoE1's that I don't think I can go back. You're entitled to your opinion, but I'm hoping GGG keep PoE2's melee pretty much exactly the way it is.
Living the Hollow Palm life, and loving it. Stay sane, exiles!

I'm finding the Monk stronger than Ranger so far.... Certainly some boss mechanics are a bit differnt to handle, but stil the Monk is stronger.
