I barely even use Dodge Roll on my Sorceress. Spark and Flame Wall spam all the way, baby.

Stick with poe and not poe 2. How lucky for you given this post that they’re two different games.

Different games which require different skills, adapt or stick with PoE

A simple example of what POE2 is vs. POE1. POE1 is a Tesla. Something new and unique in the automotive world. POE2 is a Chevy Camaro, also something unique in the automotive world. Notice that Elon isn't making Camaros? I can't for the life of me imagine why GGG went in this direction when they were already the undisputed maker of Teslas. If there is one good thing, it's that I don't think POE2 is going to be a POE1 killer as some feared and others hoped. I think the two games will conicide along side each other as they're are really quite different.

Personally, and YMMV, I like POE and only discovered it recently after being introduced to the genre by D4 and then followed by LE and GD. For me, you can throw those other three in a basket as they're somewhat similar while POE just clicked for me. I played POE2 last night and at this point, don't really have the desire to play it further. Of course, to be completely transparent, I played ER to completion but the boss fight mechanics wore me out as I simply am too old for twitch reflex, DS type of games any more. I'm not putting them down as 20 years ago I would have probably loved them. To me, POE2 is much more DS like than POE1 like, yet lacks the first person/close in third person graphics. It actually reminds me more of No Rest for the Wicked than POE1. I think there will be a place for both games, but am guessing that GGG will be somewhat surprised at how many players stick with POE1 vs. migrating to POE2. If that was their intention all along, to bring in new players to the genre while sacrificing some of the old players, then I say job well done. If their intention was to eventually phase out POE1 in favor of POE2, I don't think that's going to happen now.

How can someone stick with poe 1 when there is now new league and noone playing? ITs poe 2 or quit. Right now im leaning towards quit. Even Diablo 4 was fun for a week or something. I am not even thinking about the game first day of the launch. Something is off with this game.

"Git Gud". It's not about the bosses taking longer or the game being 'harder'. It's about the game is advertised as POE.... #2. When it's no longer really an ARPG.

If I wanted 5-20 minute bossfights I'd literally be playing Dark Souls, Star Wars Jedi games, etc. But I hate those games because it's ultimately spamming your dodge move and attacking for hours on end as the end pattern.

This game is a joke. Progression is goofy because if I'm going to take 5-10 minutes to kill a boss, then improving my character by 20% only slightly reduces that time. I didn't become powerful or complete a power fantasy like in ALL other ARPGS where your character gets above a power curve and then you conquer that content.

The game was advertised as an ARPG. I saw no previews of the game where the dev or player said 'hey yeah bud, 95% of builds you just attack once or twice and then spam roll and repeat for 10 minutes'.

The gameplay loop is TRASH. The only people saying they like it are level 7-10's in Act 1 who are still running off a dopamine hit, and streamer pets.

The graphics, although better than PoE1 as well, are oddly annoying and overbloated. There is too much detail. The detail was supposed to the combat mechanics, which we know by now are boring.

I knew they might drop the ball with this game, but to drop it this badly is insane. This is much worse than even D4's release. And yes, it's early access but still... so bad.
