South African Server

Good Day GGG, Been very excited for POE2 release and play a lot of it already but as a South African it keeps forcing us onto the EU Gateways.

Question
Why is the South African gateway there when we don't even get to play it? Will this be resolved?

I purchased the game on release day based on the confirmation of South African server option, if I knew we would be rerouted to EU I would not have done so.

Consistently being placed on EU servers is significantly impacting my gameplay experience.

Please confirm if dedicated South African servers are planned to ensure optimal gameplay for players in the region/

I don't think they confirmed South African server, which is why a lot of people were hesitant to buy early access.

I recall they said something on the lines of "all previous regions that were able to play will continue to have access to play" Which to me seemed like saying we will have access to play but not meaning at appropiate ping/latency.

It was weird that they couldn't just say yes there will be South African server but went with a very PR reply.

Which is why I held out waiting for real confirmation. have yet to buy the EA. Waiting for GGG to give a real reply.

Not sure how long it will take but I think logically they will probably focus on getting everyone else running smoothly before looking at us South Africans. I hope I am wrong.

Yeah i was on the SA servers last night but everytime i log in now i get booted to a EU Server GGG any fix please ?
