Bloodmage life remnants not spawning on certain bosses

The life remnants that bloodmage spawns on crit are either not working on certain bosses or are being spawned inside the bosses hitbox and are unable to be picked up. I've noticed this on the bosses Tor Gul and Zalmarath. My character has almost 20% crit chance on my main spells and yet I cannot visibly see blood orbs spawning as often as that crit chance would suggest. Additionally, I have noticed some of the blood orbs spawning inside of where Tor Gul is sitting in the middle of the arena, which obviously cannot be picked up.
