Where is the Miller?

Cannot find him so cannot progress past the start.

Bump, so many posts i suspect i will not get a solution.

He is a large monster you fight, I think? Is this thread here because he's nowhere to be seen in the zone?

Yes he is the very first boss and yes he does not appear so i cannot get past the red barrier to get to town.

" There's a red barrier right before the first checkpoint totem. After you slot your first skill you need to use the skill to dispel the barrier. I also didn't fully read the tooltip and wandered around aimlessly for a few minutes before a friend told me to use the skill. Could this be your issue? Or can you walk into his little arena and he's not there? |

I do walk into his arena and he is not there.
I have reset and rebooted the comp many times. |

" You might want to try making a new character and seeing if it spawns at all for you on that character. |

It is to equip the Gem, choose a key to use it, and then you beat up on the red portal. Done.
