Infernalist hellhound doesn't work

I allocated the node.

Received the hellhound ability under the gems screen.

Hellhound does not spawn.

Relogging didn't fix.

Dying didn't fix.

Turning off other minions to have max spirit available didn't fix (although hellhound doesn't say it needs spirit).

This appears to be an entirely dead node.

Don't forget to activate him by right-clicking it in the skill screen.

You right clicked the image for the hellhound gem in the gem screen in order to activate it right? Just seemed worth checking.
