Got Softlocked in The Red Vale

I died as the rust king died and his quest loot despawned but I can't reactivate the totem to fight him again. Exiting and reentering area did not fix this, nor did exiting to character select and logging back in. Character, as far as I can tell, is bricked now. I will refrain from deleting her in case her still existing is useful.

If this happens to anyone else you can work around it by dropping all the quest items you have on the ground. Go to a waypoint and CTRL + Click Red Vale on the map to create a new zone. Then just do the quest inside of the zone again.
