Killed the Count and died at the same time

Title. Me and my friend killed the count, he was dead and I dealt the finishing blow while dying at the same time. We saw the hooded one appear over his body and the quest progressed, but we were unable to retrieve the unique item dropped as well as being unsure if we received XP from the encounter. Is there a way to address this? We would be happy to fight him again, just feels bad missing out on all of the rewards from completing it.

Died towards the end and doggo died to my dot. Hoody did his thing, I got lots of respect from everyone and ended up in Act II just fine. Apparently only missed some gold and a yellow. (Kinda not complaining tbh.) Can't replay the fight, I assume it's a one time event.

Maybe add a check if players are alive.

Had the same issue against the rotten druid in the Grim Tangle. Killed it, saw loot including a unique wand drop, and i died. then the check point reloaded me. Druid was dead, but no loot was there except for a single skill gem.

I just had the same problem with the Rotten Druid as well.
