Got an epic key isntead of Steam key?

Hi, I received a key from spending enough money over the years but it says it is for epic store and i use steam. Is it possible to swap it to steam? I tried to add it on steam but it says the key is invalid.

You got an EA key from GGG which has been automatically applied to your account. You don't need to do anything else.
The link for an Epic key is only for if you actually use the Epic platform to play. Steam has run out of steam, I mean keys, for now, and again, is only for if you want to use the Steam client. They should return soon. 😹😹😹😹😹
