Hot take: Tutorialization
|
Hello GGG.
I have watched some videos recently from your latest gameplay reveal and I noticed the skill gems have videos + VO. My question is, can we turn the VO off, I honestly don't like it and think it's overkill. The videos are great, but someone explaining to me what a skill does... naaaah. There should be an option for this, along with the tutorial disable being an option too. :)) "Armor break allow you to break the armor of your opponents" I think everyone will be able to fugre that out :)) It's really bad when you start reading what the skill does mechanically and someone starts giving you the most basic explanation in the meantime. There should be an option to disable this. If I have to go over all the skills with this VO on every single one of them, every time, I'll stop being a sane exile really fast. What we should have instead is the formula calculation for stuff like Accuracy, Evasion and Armour in the tooltips, just like in Last Epoch. And Armour should not be listed as a % phys damage reduction but as a flat recuded value from hit, up to 90%. As we all know that's how this actually works. " The POE2 sound, dialogue and music are pretty dope actually. I would enjoy them for sure. But imagine going over 250 skills and every time you start reading it, someone explains to you what it does like you are in 2nd grade... And that's every single time you select a skill and start reading it. The videos are pretty good, but this voice over needs to have an option to be disabled. Example: https://youtu.be/L4oYqD--Sq4?si=xQCvyi71M3rLQHyl&t=1931 "Shockwave totem repeatedly thumps the ground, dealing area damage"... you don't say.... " I mean it's OK the first time I guess, but imagine hearing the same basic VO explanation for years... every exile will go nuts :D |
