Is it possible to overwrite steam link?

Title.

Let's say you're using account A and you also have a steam-linked account B.
If you connect account A to that steam account, the link between steam and account B get's overwritten, right? So you end up with having Account A linked to that steam, and account B is freed from that steam.

If you do that, do you mess up your progress on Account A, because you played with that steam before cause it was linked to another account, or is it a problem/risk-free option to connect account A to that steam?

Let's say you have access and bought support pack for PoE2 on Account A, when you link it to that steam account, you should still have access and be able to play PoE2 on steam, am I correct? (even if Account B which was previously linked to that steam has no access for poe2)

I feel I know the answer and it's okay to do that but still, Would like confirmation about this beforehand. Thanks in advance guys. :>

Hello there and thanks for answering soon :) but I just want to know one thing. If you can link your steam account (which was linked before to another GGG account) to your current GGG account.

I don't want to lose my support packs and poe2 access for this account. I just want to know if I connect my steam (oldly linked to an ancient GGG account), I don't lose my character, progress, and PoE2 access.

(Short version: If I link a steam that was previously linked to another account, does that link automatically get overwritten by my current link so I'd have no issues playing from my current GGG account through that steam?)
