How does gifting a key to a friend exactly work?

Hey I bought the 100$ Supporter Pack and received a Early Access key.
Thing is I already have bought a 480$ pack in the past and have spent alot more than that in general anyways.
So technically in the next week I will have one extra key since I will still get another key from my spendings done the years before right?

However now on the early access page, it says this:

It says my account is eligible for PoE2 EA, thanks to myself or a FRIEND.

However below it says, that it will unlock the game in my steam library but not grant access to my account? But the game is already in my account since I bought the pack over steam, so the sentence itself would make no sense.
Is my understanding wrong or is this a contradiction?

Also it says that is should not be given away but the first sentence essentially says that keys are able to be given away to friends and co.?
Would I be able to give this key to a friend or the key that I will still get or are both locked to my account now?

If someone could light my brain on this Id appreciate it :)

As I understand it:

Your initial purchase of the supporter pack flagged your account for Early Access. You use that key to get the steam client.

Around or before the launch of Early Access, you'll receive an email with a code to redeem in the web shop. That code flags the account that redeems it for Early Access and gives them a steam key.

The same system works if you buy a pack that has +1 extra key. Your first key automatically applies to the purchasing account, and the additional keys are given as codes that you can send to friends.
Hi Exiles, could you please send us an email at support@grindinggear.com so we can look into this matter further for you?
