Are the Mystery Boxes worth attempting?

Are boxes worth trying? Also why are some supporter tags under people forums names shown as boxes and some are like flashy titles?

Re the forum title you can choose the linestyle or box style in your profile. Re the mystery boxes, my understanding is that they did improve them to not give duplicates but they are still low-key gambling if you are trying to get specific mtx pieces. FYI they do occasionally have "free mystery box" as reward for mini leagues and sales a few times a year (protip weta pet is often the cheapest mtx to buy for a free box).
