How does one "merge" or "link" accounts

As title says, I have an account on xbox and account on steam, i want my steam account as the main login etc but the announcement "merge" hyperlink goes to manage accounts.. with no option to link an xbox account or any form of merging. I can add a primary login email?
Wanted to add both under 1 main account then merge mtx of xbox to main, I have sent a support already but this may also be good to post for others also confused. Last bumped on Nov 19, 2024, 4:22:18 PM

I'm afraid that it's not possible to do this at this stage, you'll need to wait until a future patch as mentioned in the announcement post. We expect this patch to go live within the next few days.

Also, if im logged into my steam account and then add the xbox account which one will be the main account, its not clear from the wording.

Additionally, the account you are logged into before clicking Manage account and linking an account via the Secondary Login options should be your main account. |
