No map drops

I am fairly new to PoE. I am not getting any yellow or red maps, I've bought all I can from Kirac, no Atlas missions from him either just not getting any maps
What have I not done or missed? I get a lot of crashes due to continually climbing ping and am worried I may have crashed at a must complete point? Regards Sh466y Last bumped on Aug 29, 2024, 10:05:49 AM

Have to spec'd into map drop nodes on the Atlas passive tree?

Just put points into atlas that help maps drop and drop at higher levels, it will help. Nothing wrong with starting out by buying Kirac maps and doing his missions, I think its the indended way right now.
POE2 should be the ruthless vision experience and POE1 should be the zoom power fantasy sandbox to capture both audiences.
I petition to return all the fun stuff that was removed or nerfed over the years back into POE1. |

I have the 2% chance x9 for a monster in the map to drop a connecting map, I kill everything.

Map drops are pretty grim until you get a few atlas tree nodes. Also, drops are pretty bad until you get you get 1-2 keystones giving you a larger pool of relevant maps to drop. Kirac is your best friend until that point. It’s kind of why “rush first 2 keystones” is so important.

Singular focus is killing you. Dont do that unless you have unlocked most, if not all favorite slots for maps and then split those spots between 2 adjacent maps.
Anything other than that is going to be really bad for your map drops |
