From what we've seen so far, do you feel you're going to stay with PoE1 or move to PoE2?
" I know what you mean about trust. For some time now- I'd say perhaps around 2019/2020, I've notice something but have been unable to pinpoint it. I'm specifically referring to the manner in which the devs interact with the community. Almost as if my subconscious mind was telling me something my conscious mind couldn't understand. And then it happened- they split POE2 into a completely separate game. Ever since that announcement, my time in game has felt as though POE1 players are meant to languish... no- players are designed to languish. They did what so many companies have done. And then we got 40+ weeks of Settlers. Confront those who dare obstruct the transmission of your information with swift rejection, for they sit silently obsessing over your submission. I play both but I am honestly pretty burnt out with how underwhelming these last 2 leagues have gone.

A year in and nothing in PoE 2 has hooked me. I feel like I'm taking crazy pills whenever I hear anyone praising PoE 2's gameplay. Monk skills were the only things I actually had fun playing. The design of druid+talismans is great but I didn't have fun playing that either, other than the pounce skill. Everything is clunky and unsatisfying and feels like it has a wind-up. Since PoE 2 players are determined to kill PoE 1 I don't think PoE 1 will be left standing in a few years so it's PoE 2 or nothing. I'm in camp nothing at the one year mark.

" agno dude is on a warpath because he doesnt like the fact that the game has p2w elements and only just realized it. he has 2 other threads where he rants about it. tbh, it feels more of a disappointed rant rather than any constructive criticism. but thats fine. let frustrated players rant. as for poe 2 being a separate game. i was one of those who HATED ggg for it. i actually felt depressed. so i know how it feels like to be erm passionately upset about a game. in a way i learned an important lesson. devs can be friendly and have a good relationship with their fans. but promises can be broken due to circumstances. Last epoch currently has many old kickstarter backers pissed off as they are screaming, reminding EHG of their promise of the game being single purchase (or was it f2p? cant recall) then supported by cosmetics. they have the right to be upset as they backed their kickstarter with that as a core promise. but on the flipside, their anger blinded them enough that they just want to lash out, forgetting that EHG was sold off to krafton. any old promises are rendered void as its under new management. if the new management doesnt want to uphold the old promises, theres nothing that can be done. also, if i m being honest, it doesnt look good for LE. the main take away is all companies/devs will always need to ensure the company is financially viable despite any promises to the fans. " i actually preferred poe2 to be slow and deliberate and fully embraced it from being separate from poe1. but it turned into another zoomy game. to me thats sad for 2 reasons. 1. zoomy game play is not good for trumelee gameplay. (quarterstaff has so many aoe/projectile/movement elements it might as well be a caster) 2. might as well kept poe2 as poe1 additional content instead of separating it. [Removed by Support]

Honestly, every patch makes me like poe 1 more and more and poe 2 less and less.

I prefer PoE2. Reminds me more of what PoE1 was trying to be back when I first backed it (kiwi pet ftw). Now it's morphed into something I don't really enjoy. While the new game is more my kind of thing.
Interesting to see the opposite happening for some other people in here. https://www.pathofexile.com/shop - Support Path of Exile!
