Veiled Orb
In the last league the calculation was 3 Catarinas for 1 Orb.
In this League I've already made 15 Catarinas and no Orb Has anyone else noticed the change? It was in the patch notes and I didn't see it? Last bumped on Oct 28, 2024, 12:59:06 PM

Peronally, went around 80-90 Cata's since 3.25 began and only had a single Veiled Orb drop... but inb4 forum brown-nosers put in their two cents saying that loot is fine.
Never forget the Alt Qual Gem deletion, the Ex > Div swap and loss of various crafting methods.
Revive Metamorph/Crucible. Refine Sentinel/Kalandra content. Bring back legacy modifiers/values. If you're someone who blindly hates on Standard and its players, you are part of the problem. |

Let's assume (only GGG knows)
True probability [1 veiled orb drops / 1 Caterina kill] = 1/3 = p P[0 veiled orb drops / 15 Caterina kills] = p^0*(1-p)^15 (binomial distribution) = 0.00228. So approximately 2 out of 1000 people would get such a drop rate. And of course only the edge cases will be posted on the forum. Now let's assume: True probability [1 veiled orb drops / 1 Caterina kill] = 1/4 = p P[0 veiled orb drops / 15 Caterina kills] = 0.01336. That means at least 1 person on 100 people will get 0 orbs after 15 Caterina kills. Heart of Purity

![]() Do you mean to tell me that 17 catarinas and not dropping 1 orb is correct? Last edited by Andershow6#6259 on Aug 24, 2024, 2:42:50 PM

" Yes. For the same reason people can fight 5 Catarinas and drop 5 orbs. That's how RNG without fail-safe works. |

" Do you think how long does it take to make 20 Catarinas? Do, and see if it's fair. Last edited by Andershow6#6259 on Aug 24, 2024, 2:52:37 PM
